The Met Museum

On Wednesday, I could take a day off in return to working overhours last week. We decided this was the perfect chance to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art (without the crowds of Thanksgiving Weekend) since this would at least need a full day (see picture on the left by hibino). The museums mascot is a small blue Egyptian hippo. I absolutely love this museum! I know I have been writing or at least thinking this about MoMA, PS.1, Dia:Beacon too, but there are just so many great museums here that you can’t calm down. The “Met”, however, was absolutely overwhelming with respect to size and things to see. Though we tried hard, we could not approximately manage to see everything (this was possible in MoMA, for example), although we spent 6 full hours there. The only other museum I felt so tired and exhausted (but happy of course) afterwards and still have not seen large parts of it was the Louvre in Paris.
