Nerd Nite

Today, we went to an East Village subcultural event again, the Nerd Nite. A great invention which is for nerds giving talks about their favorite nerdy topic and the audience getting drunk (this is actually part of the program, since the entrance id free, but you are asked to have at least two drinks each and the waiter serves free margarita shots). I am so drunk I can hardly type - just kidding! It was great. We heard a disgusting talk from a medical nerd-doctor about human parasites (with mega-disgusting power-point pictures of course - I spare the details) and one about what happens in NYC when there is too much rain (yes, as you might have guessed, they lead the unfiltered sewage right into Hudson and East River, which happens apparently every two weeks in average). Sounds horrible, overall, but it was in fact a really funny and inspiring evening.
