Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s 6 in the morning and it is raining but families with children are already continuously passing our house trying to secure a good viewing point for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Even though the balloons may not be able to fly the people are coming.

Yesterday on our way home we had to fight our way through crowds of people watching the inflation of the 13 giant balloons two streets from our house. This seems to be almost as big a spectacle as the parade itself.

As it has only 5°C (41°F) at the moment we will wait until 9 to get a glimpse of the action.
